Soundwave is a multi-city touring Rock, Metal, and Punk Music Festival in Australia, and is held once a year over the last week of February to the first week of March. Like most music festivals in Australia, this festival tours the major Aussie cities including Perth, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, and Adelaide. Soundwave is notorious for bringing together an epic lineup for rock fans, with many of the most established names of rock-n-roll coming together for single day mega-concerts in each city of the tour. The lineup typically consists of acts that have been around a while, bringing out headlining acts like System of a Down, Slipknot, Limp Bizkit, Marilyn Manson, and Bush in the 2012 lineup. The Soundwave Music Festival is similar to the Sonisphere Festival held in Europe.
