SoCal Music Festival
Historically, San Diego has been one of the most underrated nightlife destinations in the United States. This could be because of it’s proximity to the mega club destinations in Las Vegas, or the celebrity studded landscapes of Los Angeles taking all the glamour, however 2012 is looking to be another defining year for San Diego to place itself on the map. McFarlane Promotion, Inc., RMD Group, and Eventvibe.com have come together to throw the first ‘SoCal Music Festival’ in Downtown San Diego’s East Village. The lineup is not finalized and is slowly being released, however the management behind the festival are known for their epic events including the major San Diego street fairs like Mardi Gras, SD’s largest nightclub: Fluxx, and some of San Diego’s premiere electronic artist events. The released lineup currently only lists Felguk, Designer Drugs, Norin & Rad, Family Wagon, Hyena, Vokab Kompany + more TBA, however you can assume that the agencies behind the festival will be searching out some of the top established performers available for September 1st. More of the lineup is scheduled be released on July 13th and 16th so stay tuned at the facebook page, and website for details.
